English Hills Goat Milk Soap

Castle Rock Farms has a herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats that supply the fresh milk for the English Hills soaps. Nigerian goats have a higher butterfat percentage in their milk (4.5% to 9%) than "standard" dairy goats (3%), and this extra rich milk makes their soaps exceptionally mild for the skin. All of these soaps are "superfatted", which means that some of the fats and oils are left over in the soap bars to nourish the skin. All English Hills Soap Company products are made in small batches and hand cut, trimmed, and wrapped. Due to the nature of hand making soaps, there will be some variations in color and sometimes slight variations in scent. All of the goat milk soaps are somewhere in the beige family of colors. (~ 4 oz. bars...usu. varies between 4.0 and 4.2 oz)

All Soaps Handmade with LOVE by Sarah, owner of the Castle Rock Farms in Vacaville, California, where she tends lovingly to her goats. Sarah earned a degree in Agriculture at the University of California, Davis and knows her stuff about sustainable, humane farming practices. Her goats are treated with love and special care, and only their milk is used for commercial production.

NOTE to Pet Lovers!!: I have a little Himalayan rescue kitty, Shadi, that has always had skin problems. It may sound funny, since this is a FOR HUMANS SOAP, but I need to bathe her once a week and I now use the fragrance free (Au Natural) to wash her to help add some natural oils back to her poor little skin. Shadi's fur feels extra soft after the bath and I'm TOTALLY SOLD that this is the answer to her skin problems!

Fragrances:

Au Natural: A Fragrance Free soap that has no essential or fragrance oils to irritate those with allergies. Perfect for babies and those with delicate skin types. Even though it has no fragrance, the milk gives it the slight smell of sugar cookies.
Ingredients: Fresh goat milk, saponified palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable oil, and organic shea butter.

Oatmeal Honey: Contains local honey, ground oatmeal, with vanilla and almond fragrance oils, and is frequently requested by English Hills customers with eczema or other painful skin conditions. Honey is a natural humectant (attracts moisture to the skin) and the oatmeal is gently exfoliating. One of the English Hills customers gave this to her nine year old son with eczema and within a month, the eczema was gone!!
Ingredients: Fresh goat milk, saponified palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable oil, organic shea butter, oatmeal, honey, and vanilla.

Lemongrass: Lemongrass essential oil makes for a bright refreshing soap...great for morning showers.

Gardener's Delight:Spearmint and Rosemary essential oils are combined with ground organic rosemary to make an excellent cleansing soap. Rosemary is used in aromatherapy to lift the mood, and the smell of spearmint is reinvigorating.
Ingredients: Fresh goat milk, saponified palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable oil, organic shea butter, spearmint and rosemary essential oils.

Lavender An old favorite, this lavender goat milk soap is just lavender essential oil and ground organic lavender from the Castle Rock Farms herb garden. Lavender's essential oil is healing (as an antiseptic), and is used in aromatherapy to ease away tensions. It is commonly used to calm babies and even scientific studies done in medical research indicates it has a healing affect on mood disorders! A classic and popular soap to use all year round.
